Students are expected to be in school from 8.50am through to the final period, which is at 3.30pm. During this time they are not allowed to leave the institute and should attend every timetabled lesson. Missed days due to illness should be reported to the school reception by the parents before 9.30am, and an absence note signed by the parents should be handed in the following day. We aim towards an environment where students act in a mature and responsible way. However, at times when we feel it appropriate , we would discuss any problems with the student/s involved as well as the parents, if necessary. At times during the year certain subjects teachers will lead their class on a school trip, to a place of relevance to the topic being studied in the course. These trips are announced well in advance, and all students should attend as a normal lesson.

Students can either eat a packed lunch brought from home, or pay for lunches cooked by the catering team at V.C.B., and served in the Dining Hall at lunch break.

Lunches are paid for on a termly basis.

Students have no formal uniform, but are required to wear clothes conductive to a good learning environment. Baseball caps are forbidden whilst in the classroom.
