History

Recognising the opportunities within the agriculture export industry, Vicente C. Blanch took up residency in London and became the first Spanish fruit and vegetable import agent in United Kingdom. His commercial activity, which quickly expanded to other European countries, i.e. Hamburg, led to his many awards from the Spanish and English governments.

Being very conscious of the difficulties which emigrants endured and taking a particular interest in the youth sector, VCB, made huge donations to schools aimed at children of spanish emmigrants in Europe, America and Australia. He acquired a building destined for teaching in Greenwich, which then moved to Portobello Road in London and which is still up and running, thus the name, Vicente Canada Blanch School.
